 Fitness Plan

While early morning joggers are lacing up sneakers for a healthy morning run in North America, we are exercising the late evening art of 'shot glass tipping' at a local club in Seoul. 

After an evening of socializing, our fitness plan includes the following:

• Identifying a direction back to our condo 
     North, south, east, or west
  
• Preparing a plan requiring less walking 
     Taxi please...
  
• Electing a spokesperson (if we get lost)
     Typically me..

After arriving home and drifting to sleep, an alarm clock siren seems to suggest that I've been sleeping for four hours.   ( Fitness Korea - Canadian Style )

 Canada Club

Preparing for an energetic hike I descend the stairs of our building, and consider menu choices at a favorite restaurant across the street.  

While contemplating options for crossing the street, I notice from the corner of my eye a white-chalk drawing of a human sprawled on pavement.  Making a mental note, I plan to return to the scene after a quick lunch.

Canada Club is the actual name of the restaurant across the street from where we live in Shillum Dong.  The owner, noticing the number of Canadians moving into the area, decided to name his restaurant in hopes of our patronage. 

Ham Burger with Cheese

When the meal arrives I'm tempted to mention something to my friend the owner, then notice the Canadian flag on the wall.  Silently, I enjoy the cold-cut bun containing a slice of ham and processed cheese....

 Street Scene

After lunch I return to the crime scene to find the image has disappeared and consider the following explanations:
 

1.  Hallucinating from past evening activities and eating not enough food.

2.  Imagining a certain alarm clock's inventor accidentally falling off my balcony.

3.  Compensating for lack of "crime scene" drama on Korean television.

The clear blue sky, wet paved surface and a new stream of water is quietly noted...

Graffiti / Art

 

That same evening, sitting at our mecca for meditation, Club Cool owner Kyung-Ha listens to the Graffiti story.  Avoiding a direct response, he acknowledges that shop owners of Shillum are obliged to keep streets and public places clean. 

Noticing that Korean Graffiti appears non-existent in Seoul, I've scanned the internet and found only one case of known Korean Graffiti in the world.  

The artist hired to paint over the Korean writing appears to have been mystified by these modern-day hieroglyphics and preserved the original "artwork".
